|Fine dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Peel potatoes and slice very thin.
Melt butter in heavy skillet.
When hot, add alternate layers of potatoes, onions, and seasonings.
Sprinkle top layer with crumbs.
Cook slowly until well browned on bottom and nearly done.
Turn out on flat plate.
Add more butter to skillet and slide potatoes back into pan, brown side up.
Cook until browned.
Turn out to serve.
