Bitter Coffee Cake
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Coffee powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Hot water||3 Tablespoon|
|Coffee powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Icing sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Warm water||1 Tablespoon|
Sieve flour and baking powder together.
Dissolve coffee in hot water.
Beat eggs, sugar and butter together till creamy in a large mixing bowl.
Add flour to egg mixture and beat for 5-7 minutes.
Add coffee to above mixture and beat till texture is light.
Grease a round baking dish.
Pour batter into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 35-40 minutes.
Insert a knife in the centre.
If comes out clean, cake is ready.
Remove from the tin and cool completely.
For icing, dissolve coffee in warm water and cool.
Mix butter, coffee and icing sugar.
Beat well and spread over cake.
Sprinkle some coffee powder over it.
