Hard Beat Coffee Cake
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sour cream||1 Pint|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Cream the butter and 2 cups sugar in a bowl, then add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift the flour, baking powder and soda together and add to creamed mixture alternately with the sour cream.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Mix the cinnamon, nuts and remaining sugar.
Place 1/2 of the batter in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture.
Add remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.
