Chocolate Layer Cake
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cake flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cocoa||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
1. Line bottoms of 2, 9 x 2-inch round dishes with waxed paper.
2. Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
3. Combine dry ingredients.
4. Alternately mix dry ingredients and milk into creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
5. For each layer: Pour one-half of batter into dish. Cook on Cook Level 7 for 7 1/2 to 9 1/2 minutes, or until top springs back when lightly pressed with finger. Turn quarter-turn halfway through cooking time. Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from dish. Repeat with remaining layer.
