Plain Good Vanilla Pound Cake
|Butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease an 8-inch square pan.
Using an electric mixer, in a large bowl, cream together butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla.
Alternately add flour and eggs.
After the last addition, beat at high speed for five minutes.
Spread into prepared pan and bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes until cake tests done.
Cool in pan five minutes before removing.
