Silver White Cake
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 2⁄3 Cup (26.67 tbs)|
|Shortening||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Heat oven to 350°.
Grease and flour 2 round pans, 8 or 9 x 1 1/2 inches.
Beat flour, sugar, shortening, milk, baking powder, salt and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed about 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly, until blended.
Beat on high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Beat in egg whites on high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
