Fudge Surprise Cake

Ingredients
  Vanilla caramels 28
  Canned sweetened condensed milk 15 Ounce (1 Can)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon, divided
  Fudge cake mix 18 Ounce (1 Package)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Finely chopped pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Combine caramels, condensed milk, and 1 tablespoon butter in a 2 1/2-quart glass casserole.
Microwave at HIGH 4 minutes.
Stir after 2 minutes.
Combine cake mix, water, eggs, and remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.
Beat with mixer according to cake package directions.
Line a 13- x 9-inch glass baking dish with a paper towel.
Do not trim the paper towel.
Spread one-half the cake batter over the paper towel in the pan.
Top with caramel mixture.
Sprinkle caramel mixture with pecans.
Spread remaining batter over pecan layer.
Microwave cake at HIGH 10 to 12 minutes.
Rotate dish at 4 minute intervals.
Allow cake to stand 10 to 12 minutes.
Invert cake onto serving platter.
Pull off paper towel.
Cut in squares to serve.
