Pineapple Upside Down Cake
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned sliced pineapple||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Yellow cake mix||9 Ounce (1 Package, 8 1/2 To 9 Ounce)|
Place butter in an 8-inch round glass baking dish.
Microwave at HIGH 30 seconds to melt.
Stir in brown sugar and spread evenly in dish.
Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
Arrange pineapple slices over sugar-butter mixture.
Sprinkle chopped nuts over pineapple slices.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using the pineapple juice for the liquid.
Pour batter over the pineapple slices.
Microwave at HIGH 5 to 7 minutes.
Rotate dish 1/4 turn after 3 minutes of mi-crowaving.
Place cake directly on counter and let stand 5 minutes before removing from baking dish.
