Strawberry Angel Cake
|Angel food cake mix||18 1⁄4 Ounce (1 package)|
|Multicolored nonpareils||2 Tablespoon|
|Currant jelly||2 Tablespoon|
|Fresh strawberries||1 Pint|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Make up angel-food-cake mix as package label directs; fold nonpareils into batter; bake in 10-inch tube pan as label directs.
About 30 minutes before supper:
1. Melt currant jelly. Slice and arrange strawberries on top of cake; brush with jelly; refrigerate, along with bowl and beater.
2. Just before serving, whip cream; spread on sides of cake. (Be sure to refrigerate any leftover cake.)
