|Peppermint ice cream||1⁄2 Gallon|
|Chocolate cake mix||12 Ounce (1 Package, 1 Layer Size)|
|Fluffy white frosting mix||12 Ounce (2 Packages For 2 Layer Cake)|
|Crushed peppermint candies||2 Tablespoon|
Press ice cream into waxed paper-lined 8x8x2-inch pan.
Return to freezer.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions; pour into greased and floured 9x9x2-inch pan.
Bake according to package directions.
Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
Place cake on wooden cutting board.
In large mixer bowl, prepare frosting mixes according to package directions.
Center ice cream on cake layer.
Working very quickly, spread frosting over ice cream and cake, sealing to edges of cake all around.
Bake in 500° oven for 3 to 4 minutes (sprinkle with candies the last minute of baking).
