Winning Fudge Cake

Ingredients
  Unsweetened chocolate 3 Ounce (3 squares, 1 ounce each)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Firmly packed brown sugar 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Vanilla extract 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sifted cake flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Baking soda 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Commercial sour cream 8 Ounce (1 carton)
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mocha frosting 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Melt chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat; set aside to cool.
Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar,beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add chocolate and vanilla; mix well.
Combine flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Stir in boiling water.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-inch round cakepans.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans, and cool completely on wire racks.
Split cake layers in half horizontally to make 4 layers.
Spread filling between layers; spread Mocha Frosting on top and sides of cake.
Refrigerate.
