Happy Birthday Usa Cake
|White cake mix||36 1⁄2 Ounce (2 Boxes)|
|Cherry flavoring/Red food coloring||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Blueberry flavoring/Blue food coloring||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Coconut flavoring||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|White icing||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Coconut||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Blueberries||1 Can (10 oz), drained and chilled|
|Blue food coloring||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Cherries||3 Can (30 oz), drained and chilled|
Prepare cake mix and divide into thirds.
Add 1/2 tsp. flavoring or coloring to each third (1-red, 1-blue, 1-coconut).
Alternate pouring batter into two oblong cake pans in 1/2 inch strips.
Bake according to directions.
Place cakes side by side to form a long cake.
Knife trim long sides of cake to look like flag waving in the breeze.
Icing: Pipe white icing around edges of the cake.
Spoon blueberries into square in upper left corner.
Divide remainder of cake into 5-7 wavy stripes with red and white.
Spoon cherries onto red stripes.
Generously pipe on the white icing between cherries.
Top white icing with coconut.
Pipe small white icing stars on the field of blueberries.
Chill before serving.
