Streusel Plum Cake

Ingredients
  Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , separated
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  2% milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Soft margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Icing sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  2% milk 1 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Grease 9-in/2.5 L square cake pan.* (Or use greased springform or flan pan.) In large bowl, cream together margarine, sugar and egg yolks until fluffy.
Combine flour and baking powder; beat into egg mixture alternately with milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry; fold into batter.
Turn into prepared pan.
Halve and pit plums and arrange over top.
Streusel topping: In small bowl, combine brown sugar, margarine and cinnamon; mix well and sprinkle over fruit.
Bake in 350°F/180°C oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until top is golden and toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
Glaze: Combine icing sugar, milk and vanilla; mix well.
Drizzle over cool cake.
