Onion Cake

Ingredients
  Potatoes 4 , peeled and sliced (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
  Chopped onion 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
  Butter 4 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Make a layer of potato slices on the bottom of a well-buttered cake tin.
Sprinkle with onion and dot with butter.
Add salt and pepper to taste, then repeat the layers until the tin is full.
Finish with a layer of potatoes spread with butter.
Cover with a lid or a heatproof plate and bake in a preheated moderate oven (180°C/350 F, Gas Mark 4) for 1 hour.
