Waldorf Astoria Cake

Ingredients
  Crisco 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cake flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cocoa 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vinegar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cake: Beat together eggs, Crisco and sugar.
Sift together cake flour, cocoa and salt.
Mix all above ingredients with buttermilk.
Add vanilla and mix well.
In separate dish, mix vinegar with baking soda; mix well and add to batter (it will fizz).
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
Waldorf Astoria Frosting: Make pudding, using 1 cup milk and 3/4 cup flour.
Mix well and cook over medium fire till thick.
Let it cool.
Beat sugar, Crisco and vanilla.
When pudding is cooled, add to the well-beaten mixture which will be real fluffy.
Keep beating until real creamy.
Frost cake, then cover it completely with coconut flake.
