Quick Angel Dessert
|Angel food cake||1 Pound|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Commercial sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced strawberries/10 ounce package frozen strawberries, thawed and drained||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cut cake into 6 slices.
Combine buttei, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl; mix until smooth.
Toast one side of cake; turn and spread butter mixture generously on untoasted side.
Toast under broiler.
