Spice Cake With Hot Apple Topping

  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar/1/3 cup brown sugar + 1 1/2 tsp. sweet 'n low brown 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Lite salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg beaters 2
  Skim milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Light corn syrup 1⁄3
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Canned apple pie filling 21 Ounce (1 Can)
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Grape nuts cereal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon

Spray a 9-inch square pan with a non-fat cooking spray.
In a large bowl combine flour, brown sugar, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
In a medium bowl, using a wire whisk, mix Egg Beaters, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla.
Add to flour mixture; stir until smooth.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350°F.for 25-30 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
Apple Topping: In a medium saucepan heat apple pie filling, cinnamon, cornstarch, and lemon juice until thickened.
Spread over cooled cake and sprinkle Grape-Nuts over the top if desired.
Serve with a dollop of Dream Whip on top.
