Vegetarian Pineapple Upside Down Cake
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Canned crushed pineapple||8 Ounce, drained (Use Syrup For Part Of Liquid In Cake, 3/4 Cup)|
|Yellow cake mix||2 1⁄3 Cup (37.33 tbs) (1/2 Package)|
In 2-quart (8 x 8) glass baking dish, melt butter (20 sec).
Blend in brown sugar and pineapple; spread evenly over bottom of dish.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package using half the ingredient amounts.
Pour over pineapple mixture in pan, spreading to cover pineapple.
Cook, uncovered, 8 minutes, 30 seconds or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let stand stand 1 minute before loosening edge and inverting onto serving plate.
