Spice Cake

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Egg 1
  Flour 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves/Allspice 1 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg/Mace 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs), tossed with 2 tablespoons flour
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1. In a 3-quart mixing bowl, cream together sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in egg. In a separate bowl, mix flour, spices, salt, and baking powder. Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to sugar-butter mixture, beating until smooth. Toss raisins with flour and stir into batter.
2. Pour batter into a greased 10-cup fluted tube pan. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 7) for 17 to 20 minutes, or until cake begins to pull away from the sides of the pan. Rotate the pan 1/4 turn every 6 minutes. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes. Loosen edges invert onto a serving plate. If desired, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
