Whole Wheat Applesauce Cake
|Vegetable oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Acceptable)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar free applesauce||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Natural Variety)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Unsifted whole wheat flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Grease (with acceptable margarine) and flour an 8-inch round or square baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, cream oil and sugar.
Add applesauce and baking soda and mix thoroughly.
Add flour and cinnamon and blend thoroughly.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes.
WHOLE-WHEAT APPLESAUCE CUPCAKES Grease and flour muffin tins or use paper liners.
Prepare batter as directed.
Bake 20 minutes at 375° F.
