Ingredients
  Whole dates 1 Cup (16 tbs), packed
  Pecans 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Orange juice 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Sifted all purpose flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cut up mixed candied peel 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sweetened condensed milk 15 Ounce (1 Can)
  Egg 1 , beaten
Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with heavy brown paper.
Put dates and 1 cup of the pecans through the coarse blade of the food chopper (put a few dates and a few nuts in the chopper each time — the nuts will keep the dates
