Raisin Cake

Ingredients
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Raisins 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter 10 Gram
  Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

In a saucepan, put the 2 cups water, raisins, sugar, butter and spices; bring to a boil.
Simmer 5 minutes; cool to room temperature.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a mixing bowl.
Stir in nuts; add cooled raisin mixture and mix well.
Don't beat - just mix until all flour is absorbed.
Pour into a well-greased tube pan.
Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 45 minutes.
This is an inexpensive cake (no eggs or milk) and very easy to prepare - no mess.
It's a heavy, moist cake.
