Maple Frosted Golden Cake
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Maple frosting||2 Tablespoon|
In mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add 3/4 cup of the milk and the shortening.
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed of electric mixer.
Add remaining milk, eggs, and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes more.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8x1 1/2-inch round baking pans.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans.
When cool, fill and frost with Maple Frosting.
