Orange Date Coffee Cake
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cooking oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dates||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), snipped|
|Orange peel||2 Teaspoon, grated|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, softened|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
Stir thoroughly the first 3 ingredients and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Combine egg, milk, and oil; add all at once to dry ingredients.
Stir just till well mixed.
Combine dates, peel, and juice; stir into batter just till blended.
Spread evenly in greased 11 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 baking pan.
Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.
