Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar till fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Blend in sour cream.
Sift together the sifted flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; stir into creamed mixture; mix well.
Spread half the batter in greased 9x9x2-inch pan.
Mix nuts, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon; sprinkle half over batter.
Sprinkle raisins over.
Spoon on remaining batter; top with remaining nut mixture.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 40 minutes.
Cut in squares.
