Good Times Yellow Cake
|Butter/Margarine||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cake flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
Cream butter; add sugar, eggs, and vanilla and beat till fluffy (beat 5 minutes at high speed on mixer, scraping bowl occasionally to guide batter into beaters or beat 5 minutes by hand).
Sift flour with baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk; beat after each addition.
Beat 1 minute longer.
Bake in 2 paper-lined 9x1 1/2-inch round pans in moderate oven (350°) 30 to 35 minutes or till done.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
Frost thoroughly cooled cake with Coconut Frosting.
