Lemon Lime Soda Cake
|Butter/Margarine||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (At Room Temperature)|
|Sugar||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Almond extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Lemon lime soda||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar at LOW.
Add eggs, one at a time, while continuing to mix at LOW.
Add flour, almond extract, and lemon-lime soda; mix at LOW then at MEDIUM-LOW until well blended.
Pour batter into greased 14-cup (3.5 liter) fluted tube pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool 15 minutes.
Remove from pan and sprinkle generously with confectioners sugar or serve with Cherry Dessert Sauce
