Apple Crumb Cake
|Fine dry bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Graham cracker crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Applesauce||1 Pound (1 Can Or 2 Cups)|
|Confectioners sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Vanilla sauce||2 Tablespoon|
Melt 1/2 cup butter in skillet.
Add next 4 ingredients and stir until well blended and golden brown.
In greased 8-inch layer-cake pan, put layers of crumbs and applesauce, beginning and ending with crumbs.
Dot top layer with 2 tablespoons butter.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375°F.) 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool on rack.
Turn out of pan, sprinkle top with confectioners' sugar and serve with Vanilla Sauce.
