Mock Fish Cakes
|Potatoes||2 Large, peeled, washed and grated|
|Self-rising flour||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Water||1 Tablespoon (To Mix)|
|Oil||3 Tablespoon (For Shallow-Frying)|
|Cooked bacon strip||3|
|Cooked bacon strips||4|
|Tomato sauce/Catsup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (To Serve)|
|Oil||2 Tablespoon (For Shallow Frying)|
1 In a bowl, place grated potatoes.
2 Add flour, egg and sufficient water to bind together.
3 In a pan, heat oil.
4 Drop tablespoonfuls (15 ml) of mixture into the pan.
5 Flatten with the back of a spatula.
6 Cook both sides until golden.
7 Drain on paper towels.
8 Serve hot.
