Nana's Strawberry Cake
|White cake mix||18 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Box)|
|Strawberry jell-o||6 Ounce (1 Box)|
|Oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Flaked coconut||1 Can (10 oz) (Angel)|
|Frozen strawberries||10 Ounce, thawed|
|Chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Powdered sugar||16 Ounce (1 Box)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Room Temperature, 1/2 Stick)|
Mix cake mix with Jell-O.
Mix oil and milk.
Add dry ingredients.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
Add 1/2 coconut, 1/2 strawberries and 1/2 nuts.
Stir until blended.
Bake in greased and floured pan (7 x 13-inch or little larger).
Bake 1 hour at 300°.
Icing: Blend together powdered sugar, butter, remaining coconut, remaining strawberries and remaining nuts.
Put on hot cake right from the oven.
