Applesauce Chocolate Cup Cakes

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Sifted flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground allspice 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Unsweetened chocolate square 1 1⁄2 , grated
  Applesauce 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
Directions

Cream together butter and sugar until light.
Add egg; beat well.
Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and allspice.
Add chocolate.
Add flour mixture alternately with applesauce, beating well each time.
Fill paper-lined cupcake pans two-thirds full.
Bake in 375° oven 20 minutes or until done.
