Raisin Nut Cake

Ingredients
  Self raising flour 1⁄2 Pound
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mixed spices 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped nuts 2 Ounce
  Seedless raisins 4 1⁄2 Ounce (Sun)
  Margarine 4 Ounce
  Granulated sugar 6 Ounce
  Eggs 2
Directions

Grease and flour a loaf tin, 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.
Sieve together first three ingredients and add the nuts and raisins.
Cream the margarine and sugar thoroughly and add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition, and bake in the prepared tin in a moderate oven (350°F.) for about 1- 1 1/4 hours.
