Date And Nut Cake

Ingredients
  Eggs 4 (at room temperature)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped dates 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Chopped pecans 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Pure vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Beat the eggs, sugar, and oil together very well.
2. Stir in the remaining ingredients until thoroughly blended. Put in an oiled and floured 9- by 5- by 3-inch loaf pan and put in a cold oven. Set the temperature at 300 degrees, light the oven, and bake for 2 hours, or until done.
