Chocolate Chip Loaf Cake

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vegetable shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), finely chopped
  Vanilla 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shadow frosting 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

1. Grlease a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan; line ' bottom with wax paper; grease paper.
2. Measure flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, shortening and milk into large bowl of electric mixer. Add eggs, chocolate and vanilla.
3. Beat 1/2 minute at low speed, scraping side of bowl constantly. Increase mixer speed to high; beat 3 minutes, scraping side of bowl several times. Turn into prepared pan.
4. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 1 hour, 20 minutes, or until center springs back when lightly pressed with fingertip. Cool on wire rack about 10 minutes. Remove from pan; peel off wax paper; cool completely. Frost with shadow frosting.
