|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Raisins||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
1. In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt and spices together.
2. In a large bowl cream the shortening,-then cream in the sugar and eggs.
3. Mix alternately the dry ingredients and milk into the shortening bowl.
4. Mix well, then fold in raisins.
5. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Cool.
