Strawberry Dream Cake
|Strawberries||2 Cup (32 tbs), rinsed and hulled|
|Prepared nondairy whipped topping||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Reserve 10 of the best strawberries for garnish.
Cut the remaining strawberries into thick slices.
Cut cake in half horizontally.
Place bottom half on a serving dessert plate or platter.
Cover with 1 c. (250 mL) of the nondairy whipped topping.
Place half of the sliced strawberries on top of the whipped topping.
Add top layer of cake.
Place remaining sliced strawberries on top of cake.
Frost top and sides of cake with remaining whipped topping.
Make reserved strawberries into fans by cutting thin lengthwise slices from the tip almost to the stem (do not cut through the stem) and gently fanning out the slices.
Place strawberry fans evenly around edge of cake.
Chill until serving time.
