Sour Cream Orange Cake
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1⁄2 Pint (commercial)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs), ground|
|Orange||1 Medium, ground|
|Cake flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
Cream together sugar and butter; beat in eggs, sour cream, soda, raisins, and orange which has been put through the food chopper (include all the juice).
Sift and measure flour and add to batter, blending well.
Turn batter into a greased and flour-dusted 9-inch-square baking pan; bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 35 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from edge of pan.
