Date Crumble Cake

Ingredients
  Fresh dates 350 Gram, pitted (2 Cups)
  Soft margarine 100 Gram (8 Tablespoon)
  Sugar 100 Gram (1/2 Cup)
  Vanilla extract 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Whole-wheat flour 175 Gram (Generous 1 Cup)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Rolled oats 100 Gram (Generous 1 Cup)
Directions

Grease a 9-inch (23-cm) springform cake pan.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Finely chop dates.
Cream margarine, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl until pale and fluffy.
Gradually add flour, salt and oats; mix with fingertips until crumbly.
Spread half the oat mixture over bottom of greased cake pan.
Press mixture down into pan, raising sides slightly.
Spread dates over oat mixture; crumble remaining mixture over top.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned.
Let cool slightly in pan then remove from pan and serve warm.
