Easy Marble Cake
|Baking powder||2 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Cake flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Vegetable shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Granulated sugar||3 Teaspoon|
|Eggs||2 , well beaten|
|Skim milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|Baking chocolate||1 Ounce, melted|
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cream shortening with sugar replacement until fluffy.
Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly.
Add sifted dry ingredients and milk alternately in small amounts, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla extract.
Divide batter into two equal parts.
Add chocolate to one part of the batter.
Drop batter alternately by tablespoons into well greased 8 in.
(20 cm) square baking pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 to 55 minutes until cake tests done.
