Devil S Food Cake
|Cake flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking soda||2 Teaspoon|
|Cocoa||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable shortening||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), softened|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
Sift flour, sugar replacement, baking soda, salt and cocoa together into large mixing bowl.
Add shortening, 1/2 cup (125 mL) of the water and vanilla extract; beat until just moistened.
Add remaining water and eggs.
Beat until slightly thickened.
Pour into well greased and floured 13x9 in. (23 x 33 cm) baking pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
