Caramel Angel Food Cake

Ingredients
  Egg whites 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cake flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted
  Sugar syrup 1
  Sugar frosting 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

1 In a large mixing bowl beat together egg whites, cream of tartar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form (tips stand straight).
2 Sift together sugar and cake flour twice. Sift sugar mixture, one-fourth at a time, over beaten egg whites; fold in. Carefully fold in
1/4 cup of the Burnt-Sugar Syrup. Spoon into ungreased 10-inch tube pan
3 Bake in a 375° oven about 40 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched. Immediately invert the cake (leave in pan); cool completely. Remove cake from pan. Frost with Burnt-Sugar Frosting.
