There seems to be an error in either the ingredients list or in the steps to the recipe. Instructions are to grind flour with sugar then add the oranges and puree. Later on in the video it tells us to mix, baking powder, salt, almond extract to almond mixture then add orange mixture. Your ingredient list says only 2.5 cups of blanched almonds and they have all been ground with the oranges....Did i miss a step. Could you clarify please?

Hi Sue, you seem to have misunderstood the directions. Let me clarify it. 1. Grind blanched almonds and sugar, remove this 'almond meal' mixture to a large bowl. 2. Boil the oranges till soft and sweet. Let cool. Then place in a food processor (not with the almond meal-sugar mixture but by themselves). Process to a pulp. 3. Beat the eggs till light and fluffy. 4. To the almond meal-sugar mixture in the bowl, add the baking powder, salt, almond extract. Then pour in the orange pulp. Stir gently. 5. Fold in the eggs lightly without beating or over stirring. Keep the batter light and airy. Then proceed with the baking as shown in the video.
