Ingredients
  Applesauce 180 Milliliter (3/4 Cup)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Shortening 80 Milliliter (1/3 Cup)
  Sugar 125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)
  Raisins 125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)
  Nuts 125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)
  All purpose flour 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Apricot jam 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Apple cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)
  Apples 250 Milliliter, sliced (1 Cup)
  Sugar 60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)
  35% cream 125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)
Directions

–  Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
–  Butter an 8-inch (20-cm) round cake pan.
–  In a saucepan, heat applesauce, add baking soda, and remove from heat. Set aside.
–  In a large bowl, cream shortening, add sugar, then raisins, nuts, flour, cloves, cinnamon, and salt, one ingredient at a time.
–  Pour applesauce into mixture and stir well.
–  Pour batter into the cake pan and bake 35 to 45 minutes.
