Decorated Christmas Cake is an irresistible mouth-watering dessert recipe. An easy to prepare recipe, Decorated Christmas Cake is a dessert that you would surely love to try.
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Honey 5 Tablespoon
  Melted butter 3 Tablespoon
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Flour 3 1⁄4 Cup (52 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Powdered anise 1 Teaspoon
  Egg yolks 2 , beaten

In a bowl, combine the sugar, honey, butter and water and stir until Well blended.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon and anise.
Add the flour mixture gradually, mixing well after each addition.
Cover the dough and let stand overnight.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured board to a 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut various shapes with cookie cutters and outline the shapes with beaten egg yolk.
Place the cakes on buttered cookie sheets and bake in a preheated 375° oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Decorate the cakes with tiny pieces of candied fruits, licorice or colored sprinkles.
