Prepare shortcake following basic recipe but replacing vanilla spongecake with poppy seed spongecake, strawberries with blueberries, and strawberry glaze with apricot glaze.
Arrange blueberries in the center of cake.
Cover with apricot glaze.
Sprinkle sides of shortcake with poppy seeds.
