Ingredients
  Butter 1 Pound
  Brown sugar 1 Pound
  Eggs 10 , well beaten
  Fruit juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Strawberry jam 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Add After Adding A Little Flour Mixture)
  Flour 1 Pound
  Cinnamon 4 Teaspoon
  Allspice 2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 2 Teaspoon
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Dates 1 Pound
  Mixed peel 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Seedless raisins 2 Pound
  Bleached sultana raisins 1 Pound
  Cherries 1 Pound
  Almonds 1 Pound, blanched and dried in oven
  Pineapple rings 6
Directions

Add to first mixture.
Prepare the following fruit, sprinkle lightly with flour and add last.
Line pans with 2 layers brown paper, buttered and floured on inside.
Fill pans § full.
Bake in slow oven 275° F.
6 hours (for large cake), or according to size of tins.
Place small pan of water in oven during baking for moisture.
Brown paper may also be placed over top of cakes.
