Cherry Loaf Cake
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cherry juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Cut cherries in quarters; chop nuts; sift flour, baking powder and salt together 3 times.
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat egg whites until they stand in peaks, set aside for few minutes, then add flour and milk (cherry juice and milk are mixed together).
Add cherries and nuts.
Last of all fold in egg whites gently.
Bake at 350° F. for 45 minutes.
Ice with butter icing.
A few cherries cut fine and added to the icing is nice.
