Ingredients
  Butter 8 Ounce
  Sultanas 3⁄4 Pound
  Caster sugar 8 Ounce
  Mixed peel 3 Ounce, chopped
  Eggs 4
  Ground almonds 8 Ounce
  Chopped preserved ginger 1 Ounce
  Plain flour 4 Ounce
  Grated orange rind 1
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

Mix by the Creaming Method, using the ingredients in the order given in the recipe.
Bake in a tin lined with grease proof paper in a moderate oven for 3 hours.
Leave in the tin to cool.
