Polka Dot Picnic Cake

  Eggs 2
  Semi sweet chocolate pieces 8 Ounce (1 Package)
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dates 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Regular butter/Butter 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted
  Vanilla essence 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon

Blend the chopped dates with hot water.
Keep aside and let it cool down.
Whip butter and sugar together.
Put in the eggs and whisk until it becomes fluffy.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
Add it to the creamy butter egg mixture and combine the date mixture alternately.
Blend thoroughly after each addition.
Next, add vanilla essence and 1/2 cup chocolate pieces.
Stir well.
Spread the prepared batter in 9x13x2 " baking mould.
Make sure that the pan is well greased.
Use the nuts and remaining chocolate pieces as toppings.
Bake in oven for about 35 minutes at 350°F or 180°C and Polka Dot cake is ready to eat!

Why does my cake not rise and is very dry?

The eggs need to be fluffy...any amount of water in the bowl with egg would hinder that process. you can add more butter for moisture
