Sour Cream Chocolate Cake
|Unsweetened chocolate square||4 Ounce (Four 1 Ounce Squares)|
|Hot water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Commercial sour cream||8 Ounce|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
Combine chocolate and hot water in a small saucepan; place over low heat, stirring until chocolate melts.
Remove from heat, and set aside.
Combine eggs and sugar in a medium mixing bowl, mixing well; add sour cream, chocolate mixture, and vanilla.
Combine flour, soda, and salt; gradually add to chocolate mixture, mixing well.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch round cakepans.
Bake at 300° for 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool before removing from pans.
Spread frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake.
